“I have been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional since 1982 with a goal of putting my clients and their financial needs first and foremost.  I have tailored my practice to create retirement income strategies and long-term goal planning.  As a client’s needs change over time, our team works to ensure their financial strategies remain appropriate.  We work to give our clients the very best service possible and have allied ourselves with a firm who shares the ‘client-first’ tradition.”

Dave is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and concentrates on analyzing his clients’ short- and long-term needs as he works with them to assess their financial goals and develop a strategy to achieve them.  At Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. he relies on sophisticated analytical tools that help facilitate retirement and estate planning and insurance evaluation, while also providing investment and risk management advice and portfolio reviews.

He knows the importance of developing trusting, long-term relationships. He also understands the value of working closely with his clients to develop investment strategies that are designed to meet his clients’ financial goals, while also being mindful of their tolerance for risk. Whether developing a portfolio of individual investments, planning for retirement, or transitioning wealth to the next generation, Dave is able to develop a personalized approach to meet his client’s needs.

Education and Credentials:  Dave is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Accounting.  Dave has nearly 30 years of experience with the investment firm A.G. Edwards (now Wells Fargo Advisors) and he earned his CFP®certification in 1982.

Personal:  Outside of work, Dave is active in his community and served as deacon with Harvest Bible College in Naperville.  Previously, he was a member of the board for the Ulster Project and Koinonia House National Ministries.  He also worked as a board consultant for Missionary Sisters Health Care systems.  Dave is married and has three grown children and 3 grandchildren.  He enjoys fishing, gardening, traveling and family activities, including camping with his sons.
