David Hanson is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional who understands the value of cultivating long-lasting and trusting relationships with his clients. Dave develops investment strategies that are designed to meet their financial goals, while also being mindful of their risk tolerance. Whether developing a portfolio of individual investments, planning for retirement, or transitioning wealth to the next generation, Dave can develop a personalized approach to meet his client’s needs. As a principal partner of Hanson-Fisher Wealth Management, Dave is responsible for oversight of investment strategy, client services, and advisor development.
Dave is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Dave earned his CFP® certification in 1982 and began his career as a financial advisor with the investment firm A.G. Edwards (now Wells Fargo Advisors). Dave Hanson joined his practice with David Fisher in 2007 to form Hanson-Fisher Wealth Management and in 2010 the group left Wells Fargo Advisors to join Benjamin F. Edwards & Company.
Outside of work, Dave is active in his community and served as a deacon with Highpoint Church in Naperville. Previously, he was a member of the board for the Ulster Project and Koinonia House National Ministries. He also works as a board consultant for Missionary Sisters Health Care Systems. Dave is married and has three grown children and six grandchildren. He enjoys fishing, gardening, traveling, and family activities, including camping with his sons.
